Production Blog - TV!

I'm excited to announce I've been busily working away behind the scenes on a new TV project for my good friend Hollis McLachlan. Hollis has created an intentional, slow-paced, live-action television show specifically for toddlers, and she and I have co-written a handful of songs that will be performed by the cast.

The show is called "Fairy's House" and the music is inspired by the stylings of Johnny Costa, an American jazz artist best known as the musical director for the television series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. The songs are also a bit of a tip-of-the-hat to the music of the Australian TV series, Playschool, which I used to love watching as a kid in the '80's. In fact, I vividly remember watching Warren Carr play piano on the show and thinking, "ooh, I want to do that!"

Fairy's house is still in pre-production, but the episodes are likely to air later this year.
